Work Progression So Far.

I have been concentrating on just compiling quite a few drawing in pencil, but now i am at the stage where i need to start painting into them. So far i have completed a few but i do need to continue with the rest. I am actually enjoying it this way for some strange reason i feel it's less stress full in trying hard to concentrate on one drawing at a time from start to completion. Having arranged a couple of study visits for this week and next, it is taking up my valuable drawing time and i am trying to complete a few hours here there and every where around these to try keep on top of my work.

Here's what i have done so far.

This is a page that i have created by showing where i got my inspiration from to create the drawing of the head with the butterfly wings. As soon as i seen the circus poster with the little heads and wings i knew i would just love to recreate this idea and wanted to interoperate this into my theme of the circus as i thought it would work really well being quite quirky.  Below is my version, i used a head design that i created through semester 1 whilst looking at the Venice Carnival and then applied the hair style of the girl above as i thought this would work really well as the butterfly antenna's. I now need to fill the drawing with beautiful butterfly colours.

This is another head design with wings that i have drawn, i loved the first one and thought it would be nice to complete a couple to make a small collection to use throughout my designs. Again i need to fill the drawing with colour.

As i had said i would like to put the twist of collaborating flowers with my circus work, i have also started to draw some flowers. Here they are.

To create this flower i mixed two completely different flowers to make a new unique one.

I also with this one used different parts on different flowers to make this creation.

On the image above i looked at a small section within a flower and i then drew what i saw.

I have scanned this one in as black ink line and i will now also add a water colour wash over it to create another idea.

Here i am trying to try different ideas in creating this look of the butterfly head i have created.
